"What the winners say"

Andrea Carr - Rising Stars

"Rising Stars was delighted to win an ERA award this year. We know the awards are judged by teachers so they mean a great deal to us and hopefully to schools too. And winning gives a great boost to company spirits! Rising Stars usually enters into one or more categories in the Education Resources Awards and we tend to book a table if we are lucky enough to reach the shortlist. The awards dinner is always a great evening, which we usually share with authors and suppliers whom we want to thank. It's a celebration of what a great industry this is and a reminder of the crucial role it plays in children's education."

Nigel Gardener - All Saints Catholic School

"It's always nice when somebody recognises that you've done a good job and, at All Saints Catholic School, we were delighted to be involved in the annual Educational Resource Awards programme. The process of thinking through the things a large organisation such as a school does is, in itself, a great tool for self-evaluation but to have an independent panel of education and industry experts look at your achievements and recognise their worth is a real boost for morale - staff, students, Governors, parents...the list goes on. To win was a real bonus and to be part of the awards evening was a very special occasion for the staff involved. The evening showcases real talent and expertise in so many different fields and, for us, to walk away with an award was fantastic. What really sticks out in our minds... Excellent organisation, Fantastic venue, Meeting experts in so many different fields, External recognition for what we do - a real promotional opportunity."

Jo Trigg - Head of Marketing the Consortium

"the Consortium is absolutely delighted to have won the ERA Supplier of the Year award three times in a row! The pre and post event organisation is exceptionally well done and the evening ceremony itself is always extremely enjoyable, runs smoothly and manages to get a great overall balance between awards, dining, networking and just having a great time! We value the awards, the additional sector credibility they provide and the opportunity to celebrate innovation and great service in a competitive marketplace as well as highlighting incredible achievement from some of our most successful schools and inspirational educationalists. The ERA awards are a fabulous chance to celebrate with staff, suppliers and customers alike and we continue to believe that the awards themselves are important in providing trust and confidence in the industry as a whole. We're proud to be winners!"

"EMC is a small educational organisation, development centre for secondary English teaching, which also operates as a publisher. We have been shortlisted for either BETT or ERA awards for the past 6 years. We were thrilled to be shortlisted for the ERA award for Best Secondary Resource (Non-ICT) this year, for our publication Investigating Spoken Language, and even more thrilled to be presented with the award at the ceremony in Birmingham. As a publisher, external validation of our work is extremely important to us. Not only does it give our staff a real pat on the back for the hard work that we do, but it is also a way of letting the wider world know that we are a publisher producing resources of the highest quality. When we approach funding bodies for support for projects, or talk to people who haven't come across us before, we are able to tell them about the ERA award and this gives us a stamp of quality and success. Teachers who may be buying our resources for the first time know that we have had national recognition for what we do."
